Good Goose Logo: Motion Sequence

A quick motion graphic personal project inspired by Rorschach ink blots.

The logo is a scanned linocut of the goodgoose logo, this is layered over two layers of the same footage (one reversed) to create a symmetrical and abstract pattern of ink in water. What do you see in the pattern?

The audio used is the last 15 seconds of ‘Hold Me’ by Royal Teeth, available for mp3 download on Amazon:

Making Tea Underwater – Tea Mixing in Water – Conceptual Test Footage

Video

Concept test footage for a project I’m undergoing at University, branding tea as a key element to English culture. Currently sans-branding. I’m hoping to re-shoot the footage in studio to avoid the reflections and to obtain higher resolution footage. Footage currently slowed to ~70% (with slight variance to fit the motion to the audiotrack)

A3 Acrylic Etching

I’m kicking off my new online presence with some work from the past. This image was produced in the first year of my Degree (2011) as a creative response to the play DNA by Dennis Kelly. Revisiting work from my first year reminds me of where my education began, studying Art and Design at A level. Over the course of my final year at University I plan to combine the professional working processes that I have developed over the last three years with my natural creativity, to produce exciting work for my portfolio.

Foodfile Collaboration

Mid 2013, I was responsible for the net design and artworking of the ‘FoodFile’, a joint social action project between UCS and FIND food banks; this project was to provide households receiving food parcels with friendly and non-patronising recipe ideas and advice.

The project was completed in a group, within which we all took responsibility for several tasks. The design (encompassing net and artworking) was my responsibility, with our teams illustrator Michael Barrett drawing the vine for the wallet, which we then placed together.

Credit and ownership:
Wallet design, net and artworking excluding vine are solely my own work.
